Course Objectives
Workplace Safety and Health Practices Implementation, or Comply with Workplace Safety and Health Policies and Procedures, is developed to train cleaning professionals in applying WSH for the cleaning industry by providing them with occupational health and safety training. This allows them to perform cleaning services safely in accordance with workplace safety and health regulations and organisational procedures.
Course Content
· Practise Personal hygiene at workplace.
· Don and Doff Personal protective equipment required for work.
· Use Workplace equipment and safety device.
· Recognise Safety signs and instructions in workplace.
· Follow workplace risk control measures.
· Report workplace safety and health issues.
· Recognize Typical Unsafe Working Conditions and Work Practices during work.
· Perform Correct Work Practices when conducting work.
· Follow Workplace procedures for contributing and participating in WSH.
· Participate in workplace safety and health training.
· Recognize Emergency at the workplace.
· Perform Responsibilities of a general worker in response to types of emergencies.
· Recognize Infectious Disease Outbreak at the Workplace
· Recognize Alert Codes stipulated by Ministry of Health Singapore.

Minimum Entry Requirement
21 years and above.
Speak, listen and read English at a proficiency level not lower than Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 1, and manipulate numbers at a level not lower than Workplace Numeracy (WPN) Level 1.
Never attended school; pre-primary / kindergarten education; primary education without Primary School Leaving Certificate (PSLE) / Primary School Proficiency Certificate (PSPE) or equivalent; PSLE / PSPE or equivalent.
Less than 1 year of work experience in environmental services industry as a General Cleaner, Waste Collection Attendant or Waste Recycling Sorter.
